We combine the cardiorespiratory and strength training work in an interval class. For strength training we use hand weights, power bars, tubing, stability balls, etc.
Cardiorespiratory Exercise
Cardiorespiratory exercise, also called cardiovascular exercise and aerobic exercise, has been shown to have many health benefits when performed on a regular basis. These benefits may be realized by both those who are apparently healthy and those who suffer from various health problems.

Cardiorespiratory fitness promotes the loss of body fat and has been reported to actually decrease the appetite in many individuals. However, even if it doesnt reduce appetite, the calorie-burning effects of regular aerobic exercise can allow for substantial caloric intake.

Just a few of the many benefits of cardiorespiratory exercise are listed below:

  • Energizes you!
  • Reduces high blood pressure.
  • Reduces "bad" cholesterol and increases HDL "good" cholesterol
  • Decreases clinical symptoms of depression, anxiety and tension
  • Reduces or eliminates medications for the treatment of diabetes
  • Reduces the risk for developing osteoporosis, helps to slow down progress
Strength Training
Just a few of the many benefits of strength training are listed below:

  • Energizes you!
  • Tones your muscles, which looks great and raises your basal metabolism which causes you to burn more calories 24 hours a day. Youll even burn more calories while youre sleeping!
  • Can "reverse" the natural decline in your metabolism which begins around age 30.
  • Strengthens your bones, reducing your risk of developing osteoporosis.
  • Makes you less prone to low-back injuries.
  • Decreases your resting blood pressure.
