Chair aerobics is a no-impact class that will maintain and
improve your cardiorespiratory fitness, tone your muscles, strengthen your
bones, and improve your flexibility and balance. The majority of the
class is sitting, however, we do stand for short periods of time.
We use hand weights and balls for strength training and toning. We
cool down with stretching, and work on balance for fall prevention.
This is an ideal class for anyone who has not been in an exercise program
and has become deconditioned, senior citizens or anyone with
physical limitations such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, knee problems,
back problems, or any condition that prevents you from standing for
an extended length of time.
